This policy covers MinTraq, based in Mumbai, India (“MinTraq”, “we”, “us”). It explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it and the rights you have. It applies to mintraq.com and every MinTraq service.
1. Who we are
MinTraq is the data fiduciary (data controller) for your personal data. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. What we collect
You give us:
- Account details: name, email address and profile picture from Google sign-in.
- Career profile: current role, level, industry, function, location, work history and anything you add from your CV.
- Targets: the employers, roles and levels you prepare for, and any job description you paste.
- Assessment answers: the choices you make and anything you write in your answers.
- Practice interviews with Mira: a written transcript of the conversation. If you agree to recording at the start of a session, we also keep the audio of that session (section 5).
- Messages to us: anything you send to support.
Created as you use MinTraq: scores, readiness scorecards, analytics, development priorities, courses written for you, Interview Prep Kits and interview feedback.
Payments: handled by Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record. We receive the plan you bought, its status and the country used for tax. We never receive or store your card or bank details.
Collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the security cookies that keep you signed in. With your consent only, analytics and session-recording data (section 7).
3. How we use it
| Purpose | Data used | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Run your account and journeys | Account, profile, targets | Contract |
| Build assessments, scorecards, courses, Prep Kits and practice interviews | Profile, targets, answers, transcripts | Contract |
| Keep recordings for your review and speech analysis | Session audio | Your consent, per session |
| Process payments and partner commissions | Plan, status, referral code | Contract and legitimate interest |
| Send service emails (receipts, security, results ready) | Email address | Contract |
| Send product news | Email address | Your consent; unsubscribe any time |
| Understand which pages help and where people get stuck | Analytics and session recordings | Your consent, via the cookie banner |
| Keep MinTraq secure and prevent abuse | Logs, IP address | Legitimate interest and legal obligation |
We do not sell your personal data. We do not show advertising. We do not use your data to train AI models, and we do not let our AI providers do so.
4. AI processing
MinTraq uses AI models to write assessment situations, explain results, write courses and Prep Kits, run practice interviews and transcribe recordings. Your score itself is calculated by fixed rules, not by a model. Our AI providers process your data only to return a result to us, under terms that do not allow them to train on it.
5. Practice interview recordings
Recording is off unless you agree to it at the start of a session. When you agree, we record your answers and Mira’s questions, never before the session starts, after it ends, or in the silences between turns. Recordings are stored privately, played back to you through short-lived links, kept for 180 days and then deleted automatically. You can delete a recording at any time from the review page. Deleting a session deletes its recordings.
6. Who we share data with
We use trusted service providers to host, secure and run MinTraq for us. They process your data only on our instructions and under contracts that limit how they can use it.
If you join MinTraq through your university, employer or another organisation, we do not share your individual data with them unless you choose to.
A list of the service providers that process personal data for us is available on request from [email protected].
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which is authorised to collect payments on our behalf.
We may disclose data where the law requires it, to protect people’s safety, or to a successor if MinTraq is sold or merged. We will tell you before your data falls under a different privacy policy.
7. Analytics and session recordings
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, loaded through Google Tag Manager. They tell us which pages people use, where they get stuck and what breaks. Clarity can record how a page is used, such as clicks and scrolling. It is configured to hide everything you type, so recordings never show your answers, your CV or your messages. Nothing analytics-related loads until you accept in the cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time from Cookie Preferences in the footer. The Cookie Policy lists every cookie.
8. International transfers
Some of our providers process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and the providers’ own data processing terms.
9. How long we keep data
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Account, profile and results | While your account is open |
| Interview recordings | 180 days, or until you delete them |
| Practice interview transcripts and feedback | While your account is open |
| After you ask us to delete your account | Removed within 30 days |
| Payment and tax records | As long as tax law requires (held by Dodo Payments and us) |
| Security logs | Up to 90 days |
| Analytics data | 14 months (Google Analytics 4); Microsoft Clarity’s own retention limits |
10. Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, and withdraw any consent you gave. Depending on where you live, you may also object to or restrict some processing, nominate someone to exercise your rights if you cannot, and complain to a data protection authority. Email [email protected] from your registered address. We reply within 30 days.
11. Age
MinTraq is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we delete the account and its data.
12. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, sensitive fields are encrypted at rest, recordings are private and reached only through short-lived links, and staff access is limited to what is needed to support you. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
13. Grievance Officer
In line with Indian law, our Grievance Officer handles privacy complaints. Contact: Grievance Officer, MinTraq, [email protected]. We acknowledge complaints within 2 business days and resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or the data protection authority where you live.
14. Changes
We will update this page and change the date at the top when this policy changes. For material changes, we will email you before they take effect.
15. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, without limiting any rights you have under the law of the country where you live.
